Since 2010, can be presented an incredible full-length symphonic concert including various works from differents album of the legendary Le Vent du Nord.
A fusion of two infinite univers: the music from the oral tradition and the great orchestral music! It celebrates the possibility that gives music to explore possibilities of mixtures, colors, emotions, virtuosity blended with a traditional way to play music.
These colorful arrangements by Tom Myron have been carefully crafted so that the entire orchestra becomes a “sixth member” and give wings to the tunes of this exciting band.
The strings and woodwinds provide a panoramic, almost cinematic soundtrack, tastefully carrying the melodies and vocal harmonies near the seventh Heaven. Simple, effective, moving.

Program also available with arrangements for strings quartet only.

“We are getting ready for a musical match up. The Victoria Symphony is teaming up with a group of Quebec folk singers for a concert that’s promising to feel like a kitchen party. So you can expect unconventional sound makers including feet tapping”

After I first heard Le Vent du Nord live, I got on the phone with our executive director immediately to see if we could have them perform with our symphony. When they came, it was everything we could have hoped for. The guys were a blast to work with, and the orchestrations were clear, playable, and skillfully done. The orchestra and audience – despite being almost exclusively anglophone – raved about the program, and rightly so” – Grant Harville, Music Director and Conductor / Great Falls Symphony Association

“We feed off each other so it just makes for a great fusion.”

“Concerts have been brilliant! Audiences loving it and jumping to their feet (Symphony audiences rarely do that :-)”
— Heather Jeliazkov,

“We were surprised and pleased at the support we received from the Francophone community for these concerts and delighted at the French interaction and audience enthusiasm throughout the performances.”
