From March 2024, he replaces Simon Beaudry who has left to pursue new projects. Simon, who has been with the group since 2004, leaves with the band\u2019s very best wishes and will be sorely missed.\u00a0 Andr\u00e9, also known as D\u00e9d\u00e9, so as not to be confused with fellow member Andr\u00e9 Brunet, has been a long-time friend of the group. A singer, guitarist and bouzouki player, D\u00e9d\u00e9 will bring his own particular dynamism and repertoire from his village of St-C\u00f4me, known for being the capital of traditional Qu\u00e9bec song. As founding member Nicolas Boulerice reports \u201cWe are really super excited about his arrival and looking forward to introducing him to you.\u201d Fellow band member Olivier Demers says: \u201cThe arrival of D\u00e9d\u00e9 signifies the start of a new chapter for the group. His powerful voice and engaging guitar playing will undoubtedly bring a new colour to the group, a new breath.\u201d D\u00e9d\u00e9 joins fellow band members Nicolas Boulerice, Andr\u00e9 Brunet, R\u00e9jean Brunet and Olivier Demers as they set off on a tour of Belgium in March 2024. The tour will culminate with a special London gala concert on March 25 to celebrate <em>Songlines<\/em> magazine\u2019s 25th anniversary.
