Just learned that our CD TÊTU is a nominee of the SONGLINES MUSIC AWARDS 2016 in « Americas » category (aside wonderful artists a Punch Brothers, Lila Downs & Tom & Ben Paley!). Voted by Songlines contributors, readers and the general public, these awards celebrate and acknowledge the myriad of musical talent across the world. “We’ve expanded the awards this year to cover geographical regions, which means the awards better reflect the variety of music that Songlines champions,” says Simon Broughton, editor-in-chief of Songlines. “Our nominees range from Armenia to Thailand, Mali to Mexico, and India to the US. What hasn’t changed is the important recognition that a Songlines Music Award represents.”  The winners will be announced in the June 2016 issue of Songlines on sale in the UK from May 6. A compilation album featuring 19 of the nominated artists in the five geographical categories is available.
