A unique concert and an exceptional experience that everyone will enjoy.

If the first invitation launched to the group came from the Portland Symphony in 2007 with the presentation of a short program, the Orchester Symphonique de Québec in 2010 allowed for the very first time to be presented a complete concert program associating traditional music Quebecer to the vast resources of the symphony orchestra.

This project has been constantly evolving since then, and today it offers the presentation of never-before-seen events where works from the group’s discography are performed, having been arranged by the American Tom Myron; arrangements designed to make the orchestra as a whole the “sixth member” of the group.u groupe.

Quotes

"We are getting ready for a musical match up. The Victoria Symphony is teaming up with a group of Quebec folk singers for a concert that’s promising to feel like a kitchen party. So you can expect unconventional sound makers including feet tapping"

— Adam Sawatsky, CTV NEWS arts & lifestyle

“The guys were a blast to work with. The orchestra audience - despite being almost exclusively anglophone - raved about the program, and rightly”

— Grant Harville, Music Director and Conductor / Great Falls Symphony Association

“We feed off each other so it just makes for a great fusion.”

— Joey Pretaroira, conductor Pacific Opera Victoria / Victoria Symphony

"Concerts have been brilliant! Audiences loving it and jumping to their feet (Symphony audiences rarely do that :-)"

— Heather Jeliazkov, — Heather Jeliazkov, Publicist
