A rejoicing event is approaching with the Holidays: the 19th Veillée de l’avant-Veille (call it “The New Year’s Eve’s Eve Party” if you’d like) will take place at Montreal’s Club Soda on Wednesday, December 30. The event’s host band for several years now, Le Vent du Nord will offer the audience the gift of euphoria – the euphoria that comes with exceptional on-stage encounters between traditional folk musicians.
The first part is concert with Vishtèn and Le Vent du Nord, and for the second part of this event, both bands with the fiddler Mathieu Gallant will be put at the service of square dance caller Jean-François Berthiaume as this master will lead all in attendance through one of Quebec’s largest traditional folk dance parties.
